JP Sports is one of the fastest growing youth sports tournament providers in the nation and the most trusted sports host in the Midwest. Getting it’s start in baseball, JP had a simple vision: Provide high quality, fun and affordable youth baseball tournaments for kids of all ages. Originally a passion project with a focus to create tournaments that teams, coaches, and parents love and look forward to playing year and after year. Eight years later, JP Sports still holds true to those values and philosophies.
THE JP SPORTS STORY
WHO IS JP SPORTS
JP Sports is an independent company that holds no affiliation to any team or organization, which is important because they have no vested interest in any team or organization.Essentially they don’t have a horse in the race! Their sole concern is providing each team with the best experience possible! JP Sports sanctions all 9-14U baseball tournaments April-June with USSSA baseball. Please see the FAQ section to see why they sanction with USSSA.
WHAT SEPARATES JP SPORTS FROM THE CROWD
The JP Sports team has decades of experience in managing and running youth sports tournament and organizations (learning first-hand through trial and error what works and what doesn’t). Always looking for new ways to enhance their tournament experience, JP believes there is nothing more rewarding than being able to provide a stage for youth athletes to display their talents. JP Sports tournaments also place a high level of attention to detail ensuring all of their events are smoothly run and managed to bring the most positive value to your experience.

John Pieritz
Owner

John started JP Sports in 2010 after running baseball tournaments for an organization in the Quad Cities area for 2 years. After the organization decided to go in a different direction, John saw an immediate need for independently ran baseball tournaments, which quickly expanded to Dubuque (IA) and the Chicago area. Prior to running tournaments John umpired youth baseball, which started for him at the age of 12.By time John graduated high school he coordinated umpires for several teams and organizations in the Quad Cities area. John currently works full time at the Rock Island Arsenal and has a Masters in Business Administration. In September of 2014 John married his wife Tinaya. Often times you will see Tinaya taking photographs and doing whatever it takes to make each tournament a success. John and Tinaya welcomed a son, Brecken Arrieta Pieritz, in November of 2015. John and Tinaya firmly believe that sports are a means to an ends… and it’s important for young athletes to use their talents to pursue an education.
