John Pieritz
Owner

John started JP Sports in 2010 after running baseball tournaments for an organization in the Quad Cities area for 2 years. After the organization decided to go in a different direction, John saw an immediate need for independently ran baseball tournaments, which quickly expanded to Dubuque (IA) and the Chicago area. Prior to running tournaments John umpired youth baseball, which started for him at the age of 12. By time John graduated high school he coordinated umpires for several teams and organizations in the Quad Cities area. John currently works full time at the Rock Island Arsenal and has a Masters in Business Administration. In September of 2014 John married his wife Tinaya. Often times you will see Tinaya taking photographs and doing whatever it takes to make each tournament a success. John and Tinaya welcomed a son, Brecken Arrieta Pieritz, in November of 2015. John and Tinaya firmly believe that sports are a means to an ends… and it’s important for young athletes to use their talents to pursue an education.

Benjamin Suchon is a Plover, Wisconsin native that played high school baseball at SPASH and summer legion baseball for the Plover Black Sox. After graduation Ben took some time away from the game and found his way back with becoming the Stevens Point Sixers Legion, Assistant Varsity Coach, where he coached two years. After that he became the Sixers Junior Varsity Head Coach, where he coached for three seasons. During his time coaching in the legion he was an Associate Scout with the Chicago White Sox and still does a little scouting.

Benjamin saw a lack of fall baseball opportunities and started a fall baseball league for local high school players called Prospect 101. This included players he scouted and local central Wisconsin players. Prospect 101 prides themselves on player development along with information for baseball and softball players and families.

In 2013 Benjamin has been the Youth Coordinator and Facility Manager at Hitters Baseball Academy. Where he ran the youth program, ran camps and classes. During the same time Benjamin spent one summer coaching at the Brewers Baseball Academy. This included baseball instruction and ran youth camps. Ben left Hitters in the fall of 2016 to finish up school at UW Parkside in the Sports Management Program.
